And YES, I'm STILL trying to win this MILL!!!!
Today, 40 years ago, the Lord blessed me with life outside of my mother's womb. It's kinda neat being 40, but you also begin to truly realize your mortality. You know when you're in your teens you think you're invisible, then you embark on your 20's and you think you've got forever and that this is surely the life. Then you embark on your 30's and life seems to begin to really hit you and you begin to grow in wisdom. You begin to realize that some things you put great importance on really aren't important at all. You begin to take inventory of the life that you have lived thus far and Lord knows you wish there were things you could go back and change and decisions you wish you had not made. You near 40 and FOR ME, you wish there was a box you could check that said DO OVER!!!!
I don't know what God has in store for me in this time frame of my life. I do hope and pray it's better than the last 10 years of my life, but only God knows the portrait He has painted for my life. No matter what the finished portrait looks like, I pray He will sustain me and strengthen me to walk thru it as I desperately hold His hand.
