You know, I don't know why after the last 7 1/2 years, it took me soooo long to say those words, but life can be just plain HARD!!! Sometimes through actions/decisions of our own doing, but also through the actions/decisions of others as well!
There are times when I think life sucks! and other times when I think life just may be ok!
I'm grateful to be alive, don't ever get that twisted, but I think I'm ready for a breath of peace in my life. You know, I want out of the pit, the valley, and I would like to be on the mountain top for just a little while.
How anyone could get through this life without God is totally unfathomable to me and yet, I've tried it. I can say that God has kept me from going totally ballistic in the last few months as well as from losing my sanity. It is definitely by His grace that I am still here and His mercy that has sustained me. Without God, I would have given up a long, long, long time ago. I'm just thankful that those times I couldn't/wouldn't/didn't hold on to God, HE held on to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We War NOT Against Flesh and Blood...
With our latest family situation, we have all been crying out to God and seeking Divine Intervention. This is a battle that none of us can really fight and for a moment it seemed like our hands were tied. Our hands tied is sometimes just the way God wants it. This morning when I awoke, I asked the Lord for a word as I opened His Word. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 came to mind. Before I could actually turn there I was quoting it from memory and began to ask God to show me exactly what it meant. In other words, what was He saying to me.
I read it and before I could finish reading it, I heard....you all are fighting this battle the wrong way. You all are so distraught and heavy laden, you weren't meant to carry this load and you are not qualified to fight this battle. Your focus is in the wrong area. The enemy has distracted all of you. You can't see the spirit behind all of this because you're so busy looking at the people involved. You all are angry with their decisions and yet you don't see how the enemy has manipulated circumstances and thoughts. You already have the victory and yet because your focus is in the wrong place, you all are losing the battle.
I finally said OK Lord, I'm listening. Make it plain and clear. He (The Holy Spirit) said, there is NOTHING new under the sun. Everything the enemy has ever done, he continues to do and because of our growth in Christ or lack thereof, we handle the attacks differently and they go from turning our world upside down to just being an irritation. He said you all are angry, you're growing bitter and resentful and that is the exact way the enemy wants you to respond. If you are busy looking at the people in this you are distracted from what the enemy is really doing and thus he keeps you all in bondage.
He then said you humans are controlled by 1 of 2 Spirits; demonic or Holy. It's a matter of whose bidding are you doing. So while these young people are doing the enemies bidding, you all are mad at them and not the spirit behind their actions, thoughts, and words and thus now YOU are doing the enemies bidding. So you keep fighting and you lose. He said fight this battle with My Word and lay it at my feet and watch Me win this battle. He said if I have told you in My Word that WE have the victory and WE win, why do you fight like WE lose? Rebuke the enemy, share My cup/body at the table and take on MY life and victory and tell the enemy to go back to hell from whence he came. Pray and Believe!
I called my sister and shared with her. I told her she had to quit talking to the wrong people and pour her heart out to God. He's waiting to fight the battle but in essence because we are trying to work things out in our own way and time, we have basically tied the hands of the Lord. I know some will say, but the Lord has all power...and this is very true. However, we have the ability to stay His hand and power when we walk outside of His covenant and will.
She immediately said OH MY GOODNESS, you are so right. We knew this, why didn't we do it from the beginning. I said....we are human!!!! ;-)
As she began to fight in the spirit her countenance began to lift and change. Her heart began to soar. She began to have hope once again. This battle is far from over in the flesh, but God already said HE has the victory and IT IS FINISHED!!!!
I share this with you to say, if you are feeling defeated. If the enemy has you going through some mess, it's time for you to stop fighting this battle on your own. His Word tells us that this battle is NOT ours but it is the Lords. It's time to step back, pray, believe, trust, and Know that you Know that God can and will fight the battle far better than you ever could think or imagine. And as Shadrach, Meshec, and Abendego once said basically even if it doesn't turn out the way you want it to, Trust Him anyway and don't let go of God and do the bidding of the enemy.

Wednesday Night Bible Study 4-27-11
Last nights Bible Study was eye opening for me and I just wanted to share my notes.
James 1 (BOLD is my translations for better understanding)
1 James, a bond-servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,
To the twelve tribes who are dispersed abroad: Greetings.
2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, (count it as a positive thing even though it's a negative experience) 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4 And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord,8 being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
9 But the brother of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position (position of being a child of God); 10 and the rich man is to glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away.11 For the sun rises with a scorching wind and withers the grass; and its flower falls off and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed; so too the rich man in the midst of his pursuits will fade away.
12 Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
FROM CRISIS TO THE CROWN
James 1:2 - Trials in the will of God are to be celebrated, your faith is being tested.
James 1:3-4 - Finish the exam. (I've wondered all this time why I keep getting the same issues to arise in my life. Could it be that before I completed the exam I gave up?
James 1:5 - Ask for wisdom (the skill to apply Biblical truths to practical life). Look for wisdom and expect it!!!
Wisdom is not given to deliver you from the trials, but to navigate you through the trials.
Ask for wisdom in faith, no doubting. (Now all this time I thought this was pertaining to the "feeling" of doubt. I was so overwhelmed with peace as Pastor Evans shared a nugget with us last night.) In this context, doubting is referring to questioning God's Character and WHO HE IS!
Don't weight your view or others views and opinions with God's view or opinion.
James 1:9-10 - Praise for what God is doing. Move yourself mentally out of your circumstances and praise for the spiritual growth during this time. Don't look at your circumstances or lack, but glory in the fact that you are a child of God. Take your eyes off of stuff and put your identity in Christ.
Know that when you are going through a trial, God is showing you special attention. He is developing something in you that you lack. (Thank you God for all this special attention you have been giving me!!!!!!!)
James 1:12 - In the end, after you have persevered and endured under trials, after your faith has been tested and you have grown in that area that God was stretching you in spiritually, know that God has a promise of a crown of life waiting for you!!!!
I pray this blesses someone else. I know I was literally sitting on the edge of my seat last night, as I felt God was speaking directly to me. So today has been filled with praise. I've been praising Him through these various trials, but I've also asked many questions too. I think I'll set the questions to the side for a while and rejoice in that fact that I AM HIS CHILD and in WHO HE IS!!!! Because as I look through His Word....if God said it, I believe it, and that settles it!!!!! Listen to this video, but please pay close attention to the words towards the end!!!!! Be Blessed
